If you’re looking for fast and easy high protein low carb breakfast ideas, we have 3 great new options for you!

We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you Protein Banana Bread, Protein Cookies and Protein Muffins – all now made with Australian plant protein and naturally sweetened with monk fruit.

Due to our special blend of natural and wholesome ingredients, these products all have a delicious wholemeal taste and texture (whilst still all being gluten free and low carb). Easy to make, you can prepare a batch and keep them in the fridge or freezer to ensure you don’t miss out on a great protein packed breakfast on those busy mornings.

If you are familiar with our brand and products, you may know that we have previously had some similar products, made using whey and egg protein. As we continually work on improving our products, we have been able to create these 3 new high protein, low carb versions that are now 100% plant-based and vegan friendly.

The beauty of these mixes is that they also now have a much less “protein-y” taste, because of the amazing new Australian Faba Protein. It has a delicate and creamy taste and texture which works perfectly in our baking mixes, with no grittiness that you often find in plant proteins.

Now let’s get down to the detail to help you find the best product to suit you:

You may be wondering….

Are these a good breakfast option for Diabetics?

They have no added sugar, are naturally sweetened and are low in carbs, making them the ideal diabetic breakfast. These products are also the perfect option for anyone who is trying to limit or reduce their sugar or carbs, or for those managing their blood sugars.

We recommend swapping out some of your current breakfast options to try at least one of our new products so you can see, taste and feel the difference in the likes of your energy levels, mood, digestion and appetite throughout the day. We’re all about swapping, not stopping. We don’t want you to miss out on the foods you love, so we’ve created this new range so you can literally have your cake and eat it too, but with all the health benefits you crave and need.

What is monk fruit sweetener?

Our new Protein Banana Bread, Protein Muffins and Protein Cookies are all sweetened with Monk Fruit Sweetener. We like to think of Monk Fruit as the new stevia! It is a natural super intense sweetener, with a delightful caramel honey taste.

Monk fruit is a small green melon named after the monks who first cultivated it centuries ago.

Monk fruit sweetener is derived from this green melon, once it has been dried. The extract is about 200 times sweeter than sugar, has zero calories and carbs, and doesn’t raise blood glucose levels.

This makes it an excellent choice for those managing diabetes, including gestational diabetes. It is also a very popular choice for people going sugar-free, low carb or keto.

What is Australian Faba Protein?

We are in LOVE with this brand new, Aussie plant protein. We are so pleased that there are now Australian plant proteins available. If you check any plant protein products you currently have, you will probably find they come from overseas and are imported. Here at PBCo we strive to use premium Australian ingredients in all our products, but until now there were no plant proteins produced in Australia.

The fact it’s Australian is just one benefit…. The other HUGE benefit of this new Australian Faba Protein is it’s silky smooth texture, with NO GRITTINESS!!! This makes for the perfect addition to our baking mixes and bakes up a treat.

Our current products that include this great ingredient are Protein Muffin Mix, Protein BULK Pancake Mix, Protein Banana Bread Mix and Protein Cookie Mix.

Stay tuned for more exciting new products we are creating with this amazing ingredient!
