Great Pancakes if you add a few secret ingredients (otherwise YUK)

The product itself is plentiful and great for high protein or low carb diets. I made the pancake as per instructions, but it burnt. I tasted it and it was horrible (even with super dooper toppings) BUT - I tweeked it to taste fabulous With trial and error, I created a fabulous pancake like this:- 1. LOWER COOKING TEMPERATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (1/2 heat rather than high heat to medium heat) 2. I added: ...For the 1/2 cup of water, I changed to 1/4 cup water & 1/2 cup of pouring cream ... Add 2ts Natvia sweetener ,,, Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence STILL ADD THE EGG. These made a HUGE difference to the taste. Worth buying this product with these few tweeks. It makes loads of pancakes too. One serve made with one egg, makes 2 pancakes and 1 is enough for breakfast, so you can cook the 2 pancakes and just re-heat the other another day for breakfast. Good low-carb, low sugar toppings are: Natvia sweetener with lemon juice, then Sugarless whipped cream (COSTCO) or Aldies have one that is relatively low in sugar Strawberries (sliced) as these are low in sugar If you like it (I don't anymore - it's too artificial tasting) but you can add Queens sugarless maple flavoured syrup.

You can enjoy fluffy pancakes every day with our low carb Protein Pancakes that have no added sugar and only 2.5g of carbs per serve.

To make a serve of 3 Protein Pancakes, you’ll need:

  • 30g (¼ cup) Protein Pancake Mix
  • 60ml (¼ cup) milk of choice
  • 1 large egg

Mix – Using a whisk, thoroughly combine all the ingredients in a bowl, then let the mixture sit whilst you heat up a fry pan.

PREPARE PAN – Spray a non-stick fry pan with oil. Heat until almost smoking (this seals the pan and prevents sticking). Once hot, turn to low heat and wait for 30 seconds.

Spoon – Spoon the mixture into the fry pan on a low heat, forming 3 pancakes approx. 10cm in diameter. Cook for 60-90 seconds or until you see bubbles appear.

Flip – Carefully flip each pancake and cook the other side for a further 90 seconds or until golden. Repeat this process for remaining 3 pancakes.

Storage – Pancakes must be stored in a sealed container, in the fridge (1-4°C) for up to 5 days,
or freezer (-18°C ) for up to 3 months.
