Jam Drops are a childhood favourite of mine. Replacing the jam with an easy-to-make Berry Chia Jam and using our Plant Based Cookie Mix makes these a healthy option – low carb, gluten free, high protein, and with no added sugar. The chia seeds and our base of healthy nuts and seeds gives these cookies heaps of added nutrition – without tasking like it!
- Yields 20 Chia Jam Drops
1 pack of Plant Based Protein Cookie Mix
1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil (70g)
1/2 cup milk of choice (125ml)
2 large eggs
1 cup of frozen (or fresh) berries (I used raspberry)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon water
1 TB sweetener of choice (to be added in with dry ingredients)

1Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2Combine the berries (fresh or frozen) with the chia seeds and water either in the microwave for 3 minutes, or the stove top for 5 minutes. Use any berries you like, such as raspberries, strawberries or mixed berries.
3Prepare the cookie mix by combining the content of the cookie mix with the melted butter (or coconut oil) and milk.
4Roll the cookie mix into small tablespoons and flatten into round cookies.
5With your finger or the back of a teaspoon, make a small indent into the middle of each cookie. If it’s sticky, wet your finger or the spoon with a little water.
6Drop in a small teaspoon of Chia Jam into the centre of each cookie.
7Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
8Allow to cool on a rack & enjoy!
Storage – Cookies can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Leftover Chia Jam can also be kept in the fridge for 5 days.
