We still crave the foods we love, but in this busy world, we need the right fuel for our bodies without feeling the guilt!
That’s why we create natural everyday foods, packed with extra protein and good fats to give you all the right energy to fuel your day. And we don’t fill our products with carbs and we never add sugar, because we know what really counts.

Where have we come from?
PBCo. is the merge of The Protein Bread Co and Anna’s Low Carb Kitchen, two healthy baking mix companies founded by siblings Anna and Luke Hopkins.
From humble beginnings in Sydney, Australia, our history started when Anna created and sold loaves of Protein Bread, Australia’s Lowest Carb Bread from her cafe in 2010.
Realising the change that it made to peoples lives, she sold her cafe in 2014 and joined forces with her brother, Luke, to start The Protein Bread Co. High protein, low carb and gluten free baked foods focused on elite performers and those with health needs.

But Anna didn’t always need the high protein in her foods. As a lover of baking, she set out to make a range of low carb baking mixes with no added sugar for the healthy baker. That’s how Anna’s Low Carb Kitchen came about. Low carb and no added sugar baking mixes, just like we used to make at home but so much better.
With both brands going from success to success with international expansion and commercial partnerships, it also became clear that each community was seeing the benefits in both The Protein Bread Co high protein products and also Anna’s Low Carb Kitchen healthy low carb baking products. It made sense, we all want the right nutrition for where we are at now…

Luke, after leaving school at just 15 to pursue his passion for marketing, soon after started his own successful agency – which he ran for 9 years before co-founding The Protein Bread Co with his sister, Anna in 2014.
After struggling with his weight as a teenager Luke discovered first-hand the transformative effect that a high protein, low carb diet can have on your body, energy levels and mental clarity.
This first-hand experience drives him towards his ultimate vision of helping make Australians and people all around the world fitter, stronger, healthier and ultimately happier, through the power of eating low carb.
Anna has a diverse background including 10 years of leadership with global food retailer McDonalds. Transitioning smoothly from corporate to startup – Anna founded the health-focused Whole Meal Café in 2010 where she created Protein Bread, Australia’s Lowest Carb Bread.
Growing up in regional Australia, Anna is passionate about incorporating sustainable natural ingredients into healthy products for everyday consumers.
After experiencing the positive impact that low carb foods have on her body, mind and life she is excited to be able to guide and inspire people all around the world to also experience these benefits for themselves, and feel better than they ever dreamed they could.
With a background in corporate finance and accounting, Aaron is passionate about the power of business to change people’s lives.
He lives our eat well, feel great motto daily and values the mental clarity and energy he gains from being low carb. When he’s not at work, you will find him at the surf club, ocean swimming or reading.
Senior Graphic Designer
Corinne has always had a passion for design and visual arts. From hours of sketching animals as a young child, painting throughout her teens and then completing a Bachelor in Visual Communications at UTS. Corinne has worked in the design industry for almost 10 years and has a particular love for photography, illustration and branding.
Growing up on land with an Italian heritage, a lot of her food came from what was grown in the backyards of her parents or grandparents. With her mum’s love for nutritious clean foods, it was only destiny that she would have a similar relationship with food. Needless to say, you will still find her munching on carrot sticks, raw beans and cucumbers.
Corinne truly believes that food has the power to make us ill or buzzing with energy and life.
Coming from an overweight and diabetic family Jo struggled with obesity as a teenager. She decided that she needed to take control of her health, and embarked on a 3.5-year journey to lose 57kg’s and get healthy,
This involved a combination of cutting out a lot of unhealthy foods, reducing carbs and exercising.
Educating herself on the value of nutrient-rich foods was a key factor. Throughout this, Jo became passionate about helping as many people feel as good as they can, so they could enjoy life with those that they love.
Joanne started with the business in Customer Service, and due to her passion for Low Carb as well as experience as a Weight Loss Coach – quickly progressed and was promoted to Community Manager.

Jessica is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with post-graduate qualifications in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Sydney.
Accredited Practicing Dietitian
Amy is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) working solely with people living with type 1 diabetes.
Anushka is a clinical nutritionist from Adelaide, South Australia. She applies evidence-based, nutritional medicine philosophy to offer healthcare to individuals and groups.
