I have bought this several times and will continue to use it out of convenience because of the size, however I am disappointed in the texture as I can't tell a difference between this and the almond meal sold in supermarkets. I assumed the Almond Flour would be much finer in texture as it costs more but it's not. Perfectly fine for normal cooking requirements. Price is an issue.
Hi Renae, Thanks for your feedback. Our Almond Flour (made with blanched almonds) has a finer grind than our Almond Meal, which still contains the skins. I know the term Almond Meal is widely used in supermarkets and health food stores, which does create confusion. Our Premium Australian Almond Flour works out at $18.68 per kilo, our extensive research shows this is a very economical price. If you require an even finer grind, you can pass the almond flour through a sieve which works really well for recipes such as Macarons. I've passed your feedback onto the team. Cheers, Jo
