    Did not like the taste, or texture, the comparison with my normal basmati rice per 100g was more carbs in the low carb rice, disappointed. I would rather cauliflower rice. Thanks anyway.

Our White Rice blend was created for those who miss white rice, but wanted something slightly lower carbs :) White rice is higher in carbs than Basmati and our comparisons are based on white rice medium grain.     3 easy ways to cook your Low Carb White Rice:

    RICE COOKER:

    1. Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
    2. Place the rice in the rice cooker bowl.
    3. Add 2 1/4 cups of cold water and bring to the boil.
    4. Start cooking in the rice cooker. When rice finishes cooking, rice cooker will switch to ‘keep warm’ (after approx 20 minutes).
    5. Allow rice to stand for 5 minutes with lid closed before serving.

    ABSORPTION:

    1. Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
    2. Place the rice in a large saucepan.
    3. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water and bring to the boil.
    4. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 20-25 minutes
    5. Remove from heat, and stand covered for 5 minutes prior to serving.

    BOIL:

    1. Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
    2. Place the rice in a large saucepan.
    3. Add 8 cups of cold water and bring to the boil. Stir rice occasionally.
    4. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20-25 minutes
    5. Remove from heat, drain rice well and serve.

    Please note that cooking times may vary slightly based on stove or rice cooker.

    To check rice is cooked to your liking, remove a small amount with a fork, let cool and taste prior to serving.
