Our Protein Poppyseed Bagel recipe is our low carb spin on a breakfast classic and is super quick to make. Have them in and out of the oven topped with your favourite toppings in under 30mins 😍
1/2 a packet (165g) of Protein Bread Mix
1 large egg
1 TB of poppy seeds
If you don't have poppy seeds, you can use any seed you like!
1Preheat oven to 180 degrees and spray a doughnut tray or line it with baking paper
2In a bowl add ½ the packet of the bread mix, and in a separate bowl combine the water and egg and whisk together. Add the wet mix to the dry mix and combine well.
3Spoon the mixture into the doughnut moulds (approx 4 teaspoons) then sprinkle with poppy seeds or any seed of your choice.
5Bake for 15-20 mins or until golden. Once baked, remove from doughnut tray and allow to cool on a rack before slicing in half. Top with your favourite sweet or savoury toppings.
1These will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
1Do you have a sweet tooth? try cream cheese or ricotta with blueberries 😋😋
2Or, more of a savoury fan? Nothing beats the classic of cream cheese, salmon and dill. 😍
