High Protein Low Carb Focaccia Bread - When you want to enjoy sandwiches and toasties in HALF the time!

This high protein low carb focaccia bread is made with the Original Protein Bread - but can easily be made with ANY of our low carb bread mixes.

This high protein low carb focaccia recipe is PERFECT for an easy and tasty lunch. When was the last time you enjoyed an old school salad sandwich?? #bringingbackthesandwich. The added bonus of making your sandwiches on this focaccia bread is that you get 21g Protein in the bread itself! YAY!

Freezer friendly - so a fantastic for meal prep, so add this one to your recipes and made using one bowl - so less washing up!

Simply add on your favourite sandwich toppings and enjoy!

Ingredients

 1 pack Protein Bread Mix

 1 ¾ (440ml) cup water

 2 eggs

Optional

 Your favourite mix of seeds or dried herbs on top

note

 You can use any of our bread mixes for this recipe. If you do use one other than what is listed, you will need to recalculate the nutrition, if you are tracking macros :)

Directions

1 To make this high Protein low carb focaccia bread, you need to preheat oven at 180 degrees and line slice tin with baking paper. Our tray was approx 30cm by 30cm - but anything similar is fine, you will just get slightly different shaped squares!

2 Whisk together the eggs & water in a bowl, then add the Protein Bread Mix to the same bowl and combine well.

3 Pour the mix into a lined baking tray and smooth evenly. Top with your favourite seeds or herbs.

4 Bake for 25-30 mins or until golden. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into 9 squares. Depending on the tray you use, you may get more. As ours was square it was easier to get 9

Storage

These will keep in the fridge (1-4°C) for up to 5 days, or in the freezer (-18°C) for up to 3 months.

Notes

If you are looking for a more traditional focaccia bread, simply sprinkle on your favourite Italian dried herbs, salt etc. Once baked don’t forget to drizzle a generous amount of olive oil.
